houston trip 1/4

12:05 PM

As you know, for memorial day weekend I went down for a mini vacation in Houston with Big A. Nothing special really. Just a penthouse and all the touristy things you can do in Houston. I had a wonderful time and there's nothing like a vacation to teach you to roll with the punches. ;)

We got into Houston around 1:30pm and we stayed in an AirBnB, which if you haven't tried yet, you're seriously missing out. We rented a 1 bedroom penthouse suite in the Houston SkyHouse that overlooked the Toyota Center. It was so incredible. Comfy bed, gorgeous view, and free Starbucks.

For Friday, we didn't really have any plans, aside from some delicious dinner. But it wasn't long after we had arrived that I realized we'd forgotten all of our dress clothes. So Friday's plans became: go shopping. We headed out to the Galleria and hit up Banana Republic and H&M for some dressy dinner apparel. We shopped and shopped and then somehow landed at a magical place called The Water Wall. A wall of nonstop flowing water near The Galleria. Spontaneously we stopped and it ended up being a wonderful idea :)

Our last minute shopping spree landed us with these and I think we look pretty adorable. :)

Isn't that view gorgeous though? That's from our balcony.

This also happened to be the night I treated Big A to some good ole' Mexican food. Tell me my dress isn't on point.
