So a few months ago, me and the roomie were sitting around and talking about cool things to do on New Years Eve and the topic of a cruise came up. Unfortunately once we looked it up we realized just how far out of reach a New Years Cruise really was. Fortunately we learned just how close within reach a Thanksgiving cruise was. We crunched some numbers and booked it.

So here we are. The week after Thanksgiving going on a cruise to Mexico with her Nan and Big A in tow. We leave this afternoon and I'm positive it's going to be a vacation I never forget.

It's the day before Thanksgiving and I'm at home. I'm cuddled up with a cup of coffee, watching The Grinch, awaiting my long drive to Oklahoma to see Big A's family for a few days. I've packed all my favorite things - my comfy TopShop Sweater, scarves from my mom, plaid shirts, and booties. I'm ready for the holidays.

But just now, in this moment, in my room, I am so thankful. I am so happy. I am so ready to give thanks for all that the year has given me in love, in joy, in peace.

It’s the freakin’ weekend y’all! I just put in so much time at work but it was all worth it because it’s officially my VACATION! I can’t wait to tell you all about it, so more on that tomorrow….

For now, remember our mini vacay to Austin, Texas? Well I wore this little get up all around the town and it was so suitable for the city. I did get a little hot, I didn’t expect this cute little jacket to keep me so warm, but I was impressed! I actually got this jacket from Dottie Couture, a small Indiana Boutique – well worth looking at if you’ve never shopped there. I highly recommend it!

I just wanted to stop in and say hi, you are lucky, you are blessed, you are loved, and it's almost Thanksgiving. Give some one you love a hug and kiss and remember to be grateful for all that you've got!

This weekend the weather really kicked into cold mode and Dallas finally started to feel like fall: the wind was blowing, the leaves were turning, and I was in this scarf (and later, a jacket.) It turned out to be the perfect November weekend full of all the best things: shopping, chili, naps, and love!

An outfit that's an oldie but a goodie. What's better than leggings, a sweater, and little dash of pink? Nothing, I tell you. Nothing.

Anyway, it's been a long Saturday. I woke up and went to work today? I know, it was weird for me too and I'm up for a long half week ahead, but I won't bore you with my employment woes. It's almost Thanksgiving, I can hang in there!

In fact, tonight we're settled in with friends, having a pot of chili and watching the Cowboys game. #gopokes #beatbaylor

This week has just been....awful. I mean the kind of awful that makes you want to quit your job and move to Japan and change your name. But you know...it's already Wedensday so I'm pretty close to the weekend. I'll hang in there.

I've had very little free time this week so I've barely had any time to edit my pictures from Austin. I did have some time today to put together a little his and her outfit post.

On Saturday (in Austin) we got dressed up and had a little dinner date to Little Barrel and Brown (highly recommend) afterwards we strolled to the candy shop and got some Italian Cream Sodas before settling in at our airbnb. Simple and romantic. My favorite kind of date.
