date night: playbill version
9:12 AM
Typically my weekends the last few months have been full of
good times and happiness, but last weekend was full of some things that made it
just little more special than my usual getaways in Dallas.
HOMEMADE
TABLESIDE SMORES PEOPLE. It really doesn’t get any better than that.
After dinner, which left me full for a few days I might add,
we went to the Winspear Opera House (which was just vote best performing arts
venue by the Big D Magazine) to see Motown the Musical. The show was so much
fun and was a stunning performance. For those of us born a little too late, it’s
a great way to see the late greats perform some of their top hits: Jackson 5,
Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, The Four Tops, etc.
Last weekend we had dinner
reservations AND tickets to see
Motown the Musical. How fun is
that?!
We got dressed up (all black) and hit the town for a no reason
whatsoever special evening.
Dinner was served by Tillman’s Roadhouse – located in both
Dallas and Fort Worth – and it was absolutely drooling delicious. The food, the
atmosphere, our waiter, everything was perfect. If you live in the DFW area or
are visiting in the near future, I suggest putting it on your list. It was to
die for.
For dinner I had Chipotle Baby Back Ribs while Big A had the
8 oz. steak. We both had Camper Whippers (mashed potatoes, sour cream, chives,
and bacon) and the sour cream was whipped up fresh.
And for dessert…. HOMEMADE TABLESIDE SMORES.
