One of the most complicated parts about dating someone is
meeting their family. As most of you know, this can be a good, bad, awkward, or
fun occasion and everything is stipulated off of what kind of people you all
are. Well a long time ago, I met Big A’s family and I liked them and I think they liked me. Something just clicked.
For the first and only time when I met someone else’s family, I felt like I
belonged. So when Big A suggested we spend Christmas Eve and Day with them, I
said “Why not?”
Seeing Big A with his siblings rummaging through wrapping
paper, watching A Christmas Story, and setting out cookies for Santa was
a treat in and of itself. But the true gift of Christmas was being together. Me
and Big A. Us with his family. I couldn’t have asked for a better gift.
I hope you all had a very Happy Christmas!
While on Christmas Break (sounds like I’m a college kid
again) I got the greatest pleasure of sharing my country life with Big A. For
the most part, it was rainy, it was wet, and we didn’t really get out and play
I was hoping. But the good part was that I did get to show him a little bit. A
little bit of everything.

A little bit of everything that I grew up on. A little bit
of the bones in me.
Bear Hat : H&M // Scarf: Made by Momma
Ooh - la -la! I love this outfit! I wore this little get up out with my family over Christmas break and it was so cozy and inviting, I can't wait to wear it again! Someone special gave me this scarf as a Christmas gift and I've been wearing nonstop since.
So here we are, back in Texas and getting back in the groove of this thing called life. Thank goodness it's a short work week, being off so long makes coming back to work a drag. Plus, we've got just three days until the new year and I absolutely can't wait. 2016 is going to be something special and I've got all the feels about a brand new year. Big A and I are planning on staying in with a party for two and all the romance.
I'm still going through pictures of our Christmas Vacation and I promise to share them soon.
Until then, xoxo

All the memories.
Every year, since I was a very little girl, we have gone to my Aunt Mickie's to celebrate Christmas. We get out the china, order too much pizza, have these beautiful cookies that no one likes, and open gifts as a family. It is my favorite part of the holiday season and a tradition I cherish very closely.

I have been one busy little elf. Since the day we got back
from our cruise, I’ve felt like things have been in continuous movement. I’m
sitting here writing and thinking, where
did December go?
Despite the fact that I am exhausted and in need of serious
sleep, my Christmas game has been on point - all the gifts are bought and
wrapped, Christmas cards have been mailed, cookies have been baked. Plus two
Christmas parties this weekend before Big A and I hit the road (again) to see
our families for a weeklong festival of Christmas Cheer!
What are you doing for Christmas? No matter what it is, have
a holly jolly Christmas, it’s the best time of the year!

This was by far my favorite part of our vacation.
At the Chankanaab National Park in Cozumel, we took the opportunity
to swim with manatees. We could’ve chosen dolphins, but I’m so glad we didn’t because
this turned out to be an incredible experience.
At our first Port of Call – Cozumel – we went
straight to Chankanaab National Park. It was a beautiful area full of lengths
of seashore, gardens, and the home to some of the ocean’s most beautiful
creatures.
We wasted our day away soaking up sunshine and
swimming in the ocean. I loved being near the sea and at the end of the day, I spent the afternoon in the shallow shore searching for seashells.

depths and a great fear of shallow living.”

Going on a cruise was certainly one of the most interesting
experiences I’ve ever had. Being aboard a massive moving hotel over the ocean
was a truly sensational experience. In many ways, it functioned just like an all-inclusive
resort: food, pools, drinks, games, etc. but being out on the open ocean with
the view of the sunset each day made it even better.
We had two days at port: Cozumel and Progresso, but for now
enjoy the views of the open ocean and the squad cruisin’ aboard the Carnival
Triumph.
